Golden Plains Farmers’ Market – FRESH, UNIQUE, TASTY, LOCAL!

Established in 2009 by the Golden Plains Shire Council and winner of the Tourism and Hospitality award of the prestigious Geelong Business Excellence Awards in 2017,  the Golden Plains Farmers’ Market is located in Bannockburn and is an authentic farmers' market showcasing a fantastic range of farm-fresh, locally grown produce and handcrafted goods.

A key component of the Moorabool Valley Taste Trail, guests of the Golden Plains Farmers' Market are guaranteed an authentic market experience – fabulously fresh food and handmade items sold and served by the very best farmers, growers and makers the region has to offer. Bannockburn is a laid back small town just north of Geelong and the Golden Plains Farmers' Market provides a relaxed, country atmosphere for families and friends to shop and have a bite to eat.

Offering fresh vegetables, fine wine, vibrant blooms, artisan breads, local free range meats, gourmet tarts, vegan treats, plants, unique art, handmade homewares, natural personal products and much more, the Golden Plains Farmers’ Market is a one-stop-shop for premium, fresh produce and bespoke gifts. With live music, family entertainment, espresso coffee and the aroma of fresh baking pastries adrift, the market in High Street Bannockburn offers a lively atmosphere for visitors of all ages.

The Golden Plains Farmers’ Market is held on the first Saturday of the every month (except January), from 8.30am to 12.30pm, in the heart of Bannockburn (less than a half hour drive from Geelong, a one hour drive from Ballarat and approximately one and a half hours drive from Melbourne).
